This application helps you to manage Your personal movie collection on DVD, Blu-Ray etc. You can add movies to the local database and show detailed informations, posters and play trailers. This free version of "Movie Collection" is limited up to 40 movies. Please buy the 'Movie Collection Unlocker' app to unlock all features.
Please support my work with fair and objective ratings. A lot of the 1 star ratings are from people which never read the description and they wrongly assume they can watch the movies.
Please note: The application is still in BETA status. Please create frequently a backup of your database to prevent data losses.

The following features are available:
• detailed informations to motion pictures like movie description, actors, cover, runtime, director ...
• detailed informations to TV shows with season and episode support (You must create a new list of type "TV shows" in list manager to be able to add TV shows.)
• watch trailers in the YouTube app.
• adding of movies/tv shows and search by title / keyword
• search a movie by scanning the barcode (fast in app barcode scanner. No other application necessary).
• add your own/private movies with self written descriptions or own covers.
• mark movies/tv show seasons as borrowed.
• Full-fledged list management (create your own lists and so many you want (e.g. separate lists for movies, TV shows, music, a wish list and so on.)
• move/copy movies between lists.
• list view and a tile view.
• customizable cover size in list view and in tile view.
• great look and feel.
• Light and Dark theme.
• different order and filter options.
• mark movies as seen with a time stamp.
• search in a list.
• Full-fledged Backup-Manager to save and to restore the database (Export/Import in different formats: binary/XML)
• save backups on external storage/SD-card. Upload backups into the cloud (Dropbox/Box/Google-Drive) or share it with your friends via email etc.

Permissions:
• full network access/view network connections: is necessary to load the initial movie information and to load movie posters and backdrops.
• take pictures and videos: is necessary to scan the barcode and to capture movie covers.
• read/modify/delete contents of your USB storage: is required to store/load backup files and movie covers and backdrops.

I like it but before you were able to mark what episode of a tv series you watched on the date you watched it, like you can with the movies. When I mark an episode as watched now, the date and mark is instantly erased, so I have no way of knowing what episode I have gotten to 😭

Awesome concept and app. But the biggest thing lacking is the possibility to search a title! A search is available in my private list, but not in the public list. If this is included, I'll buy this app for sure!

If you read the description, this app does exactly what is described. If your collection is over 40 titles yes you need to spend a couple bucks for an unlock, but the price is less than the cost of 1 movie from the cheap bin at Walmart. In my opinion, this is the best app out there.

Its offline so I can access it without cell service which is nice because Walmart doesn't always have cell service. Great app to make sure you don't buy duplicate movies. For any who reads comments and not description this is a catalog for your movie collection. You cannot not access full movies.
